Jaloro is the first yellow jalapeno pepper developed by the Texas Agricultural Extension Service. The heat of the pods are similar to a jalapeño. Fruit matures from golden yellow to orange and finally red in about 70 days. The plant will have multiple color pods on it during the season. before turning orange then red, making for a beautiful show on the compact plants. Peppers are just as hot as regular jalapenos. The plant is resistant to six pepper viruses.
