Ancho San Luis is a mild chile that is 4 to 6 inches long and 2.5 to 3 inches wide. Pods have medium thick flesh. Matures from dark green to red. Plants grow between 36 to 42 inches tall. Used for Mexican cuisine, mole, powder, roasting and stuffing. Called a pablano when fresh and ancho when dried.
